Meeting of DATIpilot Innovation Community CirTex: Advancing Sustainable Textile Recycling
Texaid is excited to announce our participation in the recent community meeting of the DATIpilot Innovation Community Circular Textiles (CirTex), hosted by the Technical University of Applied Sciences Augsburg (THA). As part of the management team in this groundbreaking initiative, Texaid joined industry leaders, researchers, and policymakers to explore the future of sustainable textile recycling.

The online event, held on 23.01.2025, brought together experts from various sectors to discuss the latest advancements in the textile circular economy. The focus was on driving innovation through collaboration, with special emphasis on improving recycling processes and implementing cutting-edge technologies to optimize the entire recycling chain. Key Takeaways:

• CirTex is different than other funding programs! Since the start in November 2024 we created our own governance concept and project selecting process, which enables an open and dynamic as well as transparent approach when it comes to funding project ideas.

• Focus on solutions rather than problems: Of course, we are faced with gaps and obstacles when it comes to textile circularity. However, the focus on new project ideas and especially the pitches presented by the participants sparked enthusiasm and creative collaboration. We are excited to see how these ideas evolve in the coming months.

• Collaborative Spirit: Throughout the meeting, we were impressed by the commitment and passion of all community members. This input is invaluable as we shape the future of sustainable textiles and create real, actionable solutions for a circular economy.

Texaid is proud to be part of CirTex, a project sponsored by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). We look forward to continuing our work with our partners to develop innovative solutions that will shape the future of sustainable textile recycling. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to progress in this exciting initiative!
